Talkin' retainers with Dr. Farrah Agahi

If you've recently completed your orthodontic treatment at Smiles by Farrah Orthodontics, our entire team would like to congratulate you again! Now, after your braces have been removed, Austin orthodontist Dr. Farrah Agahi will provide—or has provided you by now—with retainers. After braces are officially removed, teeth may - and do - shift out of position if they are not stabilized.

Retainers, however, provide the stabilization needed, and are designed to hold teeth in their corrected, ideal positions until your bones and gums adapt to the treatment changes. Wearing retainers exactly as instructed by Dr. Agahi is the best insurance that the treatment improvements last for an entire lifetime.

If you have additional questions about retainers or your treatment here at Smiles by Farrah Orthodontics, please give us a call at 512-634-8254.

Dr. Farrah wants to know: What are your plans for Memorial Day weekend?

With Memorial Day right around the corner, it's almost time once again for Americans to pay tribute to the servicemen and women who died protecting our country. Memorial Day weekend also happens to be the unofficial start of summer, and for many kids in Austin, getting out of town for three days with parents after being in school for nine months is sweet, sweet relief.

At Smiles by Farrah Orthodontics, we know Memorial Day weekend is also ripe for travel. After all, summer is a time for vacations, adventures and great memories with parents or friends. We'd like to know: What are you up to this Memorial Day weekend? What will you be doing on your day off from school or work?

Whether you are headed to a barbecue, a camping trip, or hitting the open roads of Texas with your family, we’d like to hear all about it! Enjoy the long weekend if you're not scheduled for an appointment this week with Dr. Farrah!!
